THE IDEAL PLACE TO ENJOY THE RELAXATION YOU DESERVE
Fortuna is situated 25km northwest of the city of Murcia, it has a population of over 6,500 residents and it has 11 districts. Set in the mountains or near there, hidden between the gorges of ´´La sierra del Baño´´ it was built around the hot springs and it’s situated in the basin of the River Segura. Its average temperature is 20ºC and its excellent climate converts Fortuna into a special place to take part in outdoor activities during the whole year.
Its more than 2,000 years of history proved by the existence of roman remains are marked by its hot springs. The name of the village originates form the roman period, and it’s very likely that the roman temple discovered in the old water spring, was venerated by the roman God of Fortune.
Fortuna happens to be one of the main centres of Health Tourism in Spain and even in Europe. Its healthy hot springs have been known and used for many years. Its spring waters are beneficial for the treatment of rheumatic and respiratory illnesses and also for the prevention of these illnesses.

The autonomous region of Murcia is located in the south-east of the Iberian peninsula. It takes up a total area of 11, 314km², that represents 2.2% of the whole country.
