GENERAL
DESCRIPTION
Campoamor's
meadow is located in the region
of Orihuela. One of the most
luxurious and highest-quality
complexes on the Costa Blanca.
It borders the region of Murcia,
thanks to this, the climate is
warm with an average temperature
between 18º C in winter and 30º
C in summer. Due to the lack of
rainfall you can enjoy more than
250 sunny days all the year
round.
BEACHES
Campoamor's
meadow has one of the biggest
beaches found in the region of
Orihuela. It extends 650 meters
long by 20 meters wide.
It is a fine
sand beach and is placed in an
urban zone. It borders on the
north with Roig Cape beach and
on the south with Mil Palmeras
beach.
Campoamor
has a promenade which offers
many services where you can
enjoy yourself and practice
sports. Moreover, there is a
port where you can play all kind
of water sports and get into the
beach by gangways. There are
also foot baths, showers,
watchtowers, first-aid posts and
playgrounds.
GASTRONOMY
The local
gastronomy is traditional
Mediterranean based on fish,
shellfish, fruits and greens,
all this cooked in an excellent
Spanish olive oil. You can taste
Jumilla or Bullas wines or any
other national or international
wine, all of them with the
guarantee of origin and quality.
There are also a great selection
of cold meats, salted meats/fish
made on the premises.
Orihuela has
a complete offering of catering
services where you may taste
national and international
delicious dishes.
SPORTS
The
Campoamor's yacht club has an
original design adapted to the
landscape and has 348 mooring
especially designed for motor
vessels including taps and
socket. Practising water sports
like sailing is an amazing and
pleasant experience that you can
enjoy in Campoamor.
You may also
find one of the most important
and best known golf courses in
the Mediterranean area. 54 holes
divided into 3 excellent golf
courses which have international
prestige and have hosted
important European competitions.
They are: Las Ramblas Golf Club,
Villamartín Golf Club and
Campoamor Real Golf Club.

In Orihuela
municipal area, you may visit:
- Circus-Theatre
- San
Miguel Diocesan Seminary,
built in the 18th century
- The
Castle historical ruins
which were destroyed after
the war of Spanish
succession
- The
Roig Cape Tower built in the
16th century
- Santa
Justa church, San Lorenzo
church and Santo Domingo
church, all of them have a
baroque style.
Orihuela,
has, among its great natural
beauty, El Palmeral (palm grove),
considered one of the three most
important in the Peninsula. Palm
trees are considered a protected
species in the regions of
Valencia and Murcia. |
